The next time you're struggling to find the motivation to work out, incorporate these tips to make it easier.

Pick a Pump-Up Song

While many people carefully craft a playlist to get them through the workout, few consider how a song can motivate them to start. Selecting a song to play before your workout will reap many benefits. Not only would the upbeat rhythm help you get in the zone, but playing the same song before each workout signals to your brain a workout is about to happen and will set your mind right. Try selecting a new song each week; changing your pre-workout song often helps keep motivation high and gives you something new to look forward to.

Lay Out Your Clothes

This may be the oldest trick in the book, but arguably, the most effective. Many times, we're working out in the wee hours of the morning or right after work. Laying out clothes (or even packing them) makes it easier and allows you to focus on the workout ahead. Being able to mindlessly grab what is out in front of you helps you get into your clothes and out the door. Plus, when you are dressed to workout, the more likely you are to follow through and get your sweat on.

Know Your Workout Beforehand

Much like laying out your clothes, taking the guesswork out of what your workout will look like goes a long way. Paralyzed by figuring out what exactly they need to do in a gym is oftentimes a reason folks opt-out of working out altogether. Finding a workout plan to follow or looking up exercises for muscle groups you're looking to target will give you a game plan, setting you up to go in, crush your workout and get on with the rest of your day.
