Cardio vs Weights

A popular question that is always asked is… can I still lose weight if I am strength training and not just doing cardiovascular activities?

The answer is yes, of course! When trying to lose weight it is important to have a combination of both aerobic exercise as well as strength training.

Weight Training:

Weight training helps to make you stronger, helps to boost your metabolism and helps you to burn calories even after your workout has ended.

Cardio Training:

Cardiovascular activities such as running, biking or swimming help to improve your overall heart health and helps to improve your body efficiencies that help individuals keep a healthy weight to decrease the risk of diseases.

The important thing to remember is that both Cardiovascular and Strength Training workouts go hand in hand and are equally important in our weight loss battles.
