It is that time of year again when delicious Halloween candy fills grocery stores, everything but your toothpaste is pumpkin spice flavored, and cooler weather makes you more inclined to stay in bed than get up for a workout. On top of that, it has already been hard to stay healthy this year with so much time spent inside. That is why this week's blog is dedicated to tackling some common obstacles that we face when trying to reach our health and wellness goals, especially this time of year.

In 1997, my grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 73. Since I was so young, most of my memories of her consist of how magnanimous she was, that she inspired my love of sewing, and the little blue pillow she carried around to make herself more comfortable.

This month was all about me! It was the best month ever. I managed to get an accountability partner this month too without even asking. My husband was very happy to thrust himself into this challenge and treat himself too. (See this photo? We’re treating ourselves to delicious NYC ramen. Yeah, that sums up my month pretty well.)
