Back in the Workout Saddle

Tribe Coach DevonRemember me? I’m back. I was so excited with my Tribe workouts a few months ago.  I have to admit, my job got very busy and I haven’t been going to the gym regularly.  The New Year came and went and I didn’t even bother to try to make a resolution to get back in shape because I just knew I wouldn’t have the time.

So here we are at the end of April and summer is only a few weeks away.  I panicked - what can I do this late in the game?  Luckily, TRIBE season 3 is coming!!  I thought I would give it a try again so I did it today for the first time in months.

WOW!

Tribe Team Training at Merritt Clubs

I was nervous at first because I haven’t really trained in a while, but it is really just like riding a horse.  Before I knew it, I was back in the saddle. What an amazing work out.  I really needed the motivation to keep going and I really got it.

Tribe is done in small groups so the others in the group kept me motivated.  At the end of every round you have to tell the Tribe coach how many reps you did for that round and the coach writes it on the board for everyone in the session to see.

You see, Tribe is based off of an ascending rep challenge. There are three rounds and you have to see how many reps you can do within the time frame of each round.  Of course I didn’t want to be the one who completed the least amount of reps so I pushed myself. And just when I am ready to slow down, I don’t because I want to be the one who completes the most reps. Don’t worry about slacking on your form because believe me, the moment the coach sees you using improper form they correct you.

I seemed to have forgotten how much energy a good workout gives you.  I left the class energized - not tired and sore like I feared.   TRIBE, I will be BACK!!

The week of April 24th is Trial Week when all Tribe sessions are free. I encourage everyone to try Tribe.
