I have to admit, I did it. When COVID-19 hit, the gym membership was one of the first things I cancelled. I panicked and thought of catching COVID from everyone sweating in the gym and figured that was the last place I wanted to be.

I was on vacation and missed my Tribe Team Training sessions for a whole week. The only exercise I did was ride a bike twice on the boardwalk. I spent the days on the beach soaking up the sun. The gym was a distant thought.

I’m three weeks into Tribe Team Training and I am loving it. I am going on vacation next week and I am really feeling anxious that I am going to miss my sessions for that time. I am addicted. My coach is amazing. There are two of us on our team that will miss some time next week so our coach offered to come in Saturday to show us one of this week’s workout. This is the extra attention you get when you have a team of people training together keeping you motivated.

So I made it through my first week of Tribe Team Training and I have to say, once I get over the initial soreness I feel great. I am already down 3 pounds! This is HUGE for me because the scale has literally been stuck at the same weight for a year no matter what I do.

So I have written about Tribe Team Training and talked about how wonderful it is, always thought, “This is great I am going to do it.” THEN, life happens. Work, family... and I just could not commit to doing the sessions.

Remember me? I’m back. I was so excited with my Tribe workouts a few months ago. I have to admit, my job got very busy and I haven’t been going to the gym regularly. The New Year came and went and I didn’t even bother to try to make a resolution to get back in shape because I just knew I wouldn’t have the time.

I’ve been working out for 20 years or more and always thought I knew what I was doing. I didn’t need any help. Okay, well that may have been true in my 20’s but now in my 40’s I have hit a plateau. Putting weight on is very easy. Keeping it off, not so much. Before, I could spend 30 minutes on a treadmill and the weight would stay off. Now, 40 minutes on the treadmill and some strength exercises for 20-30 minutes a few times a week and I don’t see any results.
